You can simply insert it in an existing chimney and start using it. It can burn for about  6 to 8 hours depending on the height of the flame you select. It does have an adjustable flame level which is another nice feature. You decide how much you want and control it easily. This ethanol fireplace insert does not require a flue as there is no release (or very little – equivalent to burning 2 candles) of CO2. It does not release any smoke or smell, although people notice a small odor the first few times that they use it. Fuel can be purchased easily on line in store like Amazon or you can find it at your local fireplace store.

One good thing about using this insert is that nothing in your house decor will change, only the convenience of having a fire. It is easy to install and you can enjoy your fire within a few hours of opening the box.

There is no restriction on shipping ethanol in the US but you should check your local regulations if you live on other countries.
