There are many bookcases made for kids available and choosing the right one can just be headache. From blue to pink not forgetting the ubiquitous white bookcase, from the most functional to the most imaginative, even sometimes bizarre, there really is an overabundance of choice.
Usually in a baby's room a bookcase will be used to house some CDs, stuffed animals or other trinkets. As the child gets older the bookcase takes on a more practical aspect. You can associate the bookcase with a coat rack to hang a bathrobe or a bag or a light coat as needed. Little by little more and more substance will be needed for your child's bookcase as the child will acquire more books and more things to display.

The wall bookcases made for children are often built to enchant and decorate the room as much as they are made to be functional. They are often finished with a shiny white lacquer and sold in easy to assemble kits. Dimensions will vary and you will find a white bookcase to fit any space you want, from a tiny corner to a large wall unit. Prices will vary with the size and the quality of the unit chosen. But one thing you can be assured of, is that a white bookcase is always an important element in your child's room and you should take the time to choose it carefully. If the bookcase is to be used by your child you cannot choose a tall white bookcase, but you could buy a couple of stackable bookcases, place both on the floor while the child is young, then put them on top of each other later.

Where besides children room can you use a white bookcase?
The color white represents something free from impurity, filth, and sin. It is almost always associated with positive imagery, such as brides, royalty, or angels. It is also a staple in most design color palettes. Options for its use include paint colors, fabrics, or even furniture like desks, tables, or bookcases. This leads to the question – where would you use a white bookcase? It depends of course on the style and size of the bookcase. You might not be able to place a tall white bookcase anywhere you want because of the size. To add flexibility when starting from scratch you might consider buying shorter bookcases and stacking them, like white barrister bookcases, or modular cube bookcases. Then you have options when you need to rearrange the furniture.
White bookcases can lighten an already dark room. Rooms lacking in the way of natural light can have an almost gloomy effect.
