Meet Corinne! Corinne the drop, in company of its shadow, Corinne is a chalkboard sticker!

It serves two purposes, a great wall decor and you can jot your ideas or memos to family members, clean it up and start again. It comes with chalk of course, and for those who like me forget everything it is a great way to remember what you have to do without tying a silly piece of string on your finger.

A chalkboard sticker can be applied on any flat smooth surface (walls, windows, wood, refrigerators...) they are very thin about 50 microns and offer affordable quick decorative solutions for many areas. They are also removable so you can try them out in an area and if it does not work out for you, you can peel it and move it somewhere else.

With a chalkboard sticker or other wall sticker you can decorate and personalize any area you want. Using them in children room not only do they decorate they also give kids a chance to write on the walls with impunity. While they are really intended to be used on walls you are really not limited to that script. I found that they work very well on tile floors or any smooth surface floors. Another way to please children.

While Corinne is by far my favorite I have not found an American supplier. (It is available in France from Paul et Lea.) In the US some other designs that are available at Amazon at very reasonable prices.

Another suggestion, if you are artistic, would be to buy chalkboard sticker material and make your own in any design you choose. You can also cut your stickers from black chalkboard contact paper also available at Amazon. If you need idea to cut your own stickers and are not sure where to find inspiration I would suggest using children coloring pages for large simple designs. You can also add other colors as seen in the owl above to make it more interesting.
