If you are considering using a round dining room table you probably know that normally when trying to extend the table, you end up with an oval table. This may work out very well in some areas but in a square room this arrangement may not be ideal.
I found two great looking round tables. I should rephrase that and say: amazingly good looking round tables. If king Arthur and his knights were still around, they would probably have traded their round table for one of these. Both of them keep their round shape as it is extended to accommodate more guests. Both are the product of extremely ingenious designers, and use a very different mechanism.
Since it is a little difficult to explain it I am including the videos to show you how each works.
The first dining table is from Braunwoodline.com, they do not however, display a price on their site. This table gets larger thanks to integrated leaves all around the table top. Thus it remains perfectly round when fully open. The concept has been patented by Braun woodline
The second table that I liked very much is Mesa extensible a round table made by Bonaldo of Italy.
Apparently neither company seems to sell to individuals, and at the time of writing this article I could not find a list of retailers. They do however, encourage would be retailers to contact them.
For the round table that fits your needs I suggest that you visit some online sites that also offer other great tables. If on the other hand you do manage to buy this table I would appreciate it if you would contact me or leave a comment and let me know where you found it. On to the quest for the "graal" or at least quest for amazing round tables.
