Vessel Sink Faucets

Vessel sink faucets are as much a part of the whole bathroom look as the sink itself or the vanity that holds the sink. Today’s faucets are as much masterpieces of technology as they are of design. The old boring faucet is certainly gone, and water that is too hot or too cold is also a thing of the past with new faucets.

Perhaps one of the most sophisticated design and technology can be found in this vessel sink faucet called SmartFaucet by iHouse. This faucet recognizes the user, using face recognition technology and delivers the perfect flow of water, adjusting the temperature preference to the profile of the user. The touch screen control allows you to get your emails while in the bathroom, check the weather or your calendar items. And it looks good.

When choosing vessel sink faucet there is one constraint. Depending on the design of your sink, the faucet may have to be higher that a traditional faucet. You will not have any difficulties finding one to meet you functional and esthetic needs.

For example you have faucet like Canyon by Hansa, a sleek chrome finish with minimalist lines, from which cascading water is colorized by LEDs depending on the temperature of the water. Another advanced feature allows starting and shutting off the water with a light touch. As you can probably guess this is not a budget faucet. Most sources that I have been able to find will run over $2000.

Another innovative vessel sink faucet I found is the Fluid faucet by Köhler (not to be confused with US Brand Kohler). This German company created a faucet that can quickly become a water fountain. Move the spout down and wash your hands, move the spout up to drink, in the middle position the water stops. Temperature is adjusted by turning the side knob. I was not able to find a US price for this item, but I am sure that it is also a fairly expensive proposition. Kohler US also makes the Karbon kitchen faucet that is truly an amazing conception.

For families with a little more restraint in their budget I would like to reassure you that there are some very nice and affordable vessel sink faucets. As a matter of fact the Hansa line has a wide range of prices from around $200 to over $2000. Most of Hansa’s design are modern, and all their faucets are of excellent quality.

Some of the other companies making vessel sink faucets in the US are:

Moen is a household name for many, as they have faucets for a very long time. Their quality is well known and they carry some faucets in a very affordable range, and designed for vessel sinks.

Sky Enterprise has some modern looking faucets in prices ranging from around $40 and up.

In the same category of low cost vessel sink faucets you will find Bath and Arts.

Danze another popular brand in the US has a large line of modern and traditional looking faucets, suitable for a bathroom with a vessel sink, and their prices are from $100 and up.
